About Knowledge Breaking Crew
Our Mission
Know-The-Ledge (Knowledge) is a youth breaking program designed for kids that love breakdancing. This program will help the kids develop and grow, not only as dancers, but as young individuals following the disciplines that breakdancing has to offer. Knowledge will advance their breaking skills and create an environment for the kids to form a friendly/competitive relationship with each other. They will also gain necessary experience by performing on stage and participating in battles.

Coaches
Coach Jay
Starting in 2008, Jason was inspired to dance by watching Jabbawockeez and Super Crew. He learned breaking on his own and entered local jams, developing his own style focused on musicality. Jason continued to expand his dance knowledge by joining teams such as; Rivals School, PAC and KABA Modern, The Corps Dance Crew, and Culture Shock LA. As Jason continued his dance journey, he realized that there was a lot to learn from breaking and the Hip Hop culture. Jason wanted to share that with the youth and decided to create his own program, Knowledge Breaking Crew.
Besides dance, Jason enjoys calisthenics, basketball, bass guitar and spending time with family.
Coach Bear
Inspired by his brother, cousin, and friends; Bear started dancing in 2010. He started off practicing power moves because it was flashy. As he kept breaking, he fell in love with the rhythm of all different genres of music. He now focuses on integrating musicality and rhythm into his footwork and power. His goal is to create a unique style blending concepts, musicality, and dynamics.
Bear’s first crews in high school were the RawRockers and Foolish Kingz. He later joined CSUF’s Titan Break Club. He currently reps Phantom Troupe and Knowledge Breaking Crew.
Outside of dance, Bear likes calisthenics, yoga, tricking, snowboarding, long boarding, surfing, and working on cars.
